Smashed Potatoes
ric's recipe for mashed potatoes was a SMASH hit at our Thanksgiving table. He was kind enough to email it to me shortly before the day.
We had a handful of friends and it turned out beautifully. We tucked in and watched a DVD (Love Actually, a holiday set of about 7 interweaving love stories in the weeks before Christmas. Thumbs Up.
Lolligagged the rest of the weekend. Say the new Pride and Prejudice, which although was not up to the 6-hour BBC edition with Colin Firth was still funny and respectfully done.
Also saw Walk the Line. Really good Johnny Cash bio, even though he spends have the movied drunk or drugged and his face in the dirt. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did their own singing and it worked just fine.
Harry Potter was okay. A little choppy, but I think I'll like it better the second time around.
Now I begin thinking about 2 weeks in Australia. Leaving Dec 16, returning Jan 1. I'll be staying in Brisbane.
Other than the Great Barrier Reef, you have any recommended Must-Dos while I'm there?
